Personalizing gift tags to match a theme!!

I love to personalize an item, even if it's only with a gift tag! It makes it feel like the gift was created especially with you in mind. I went to a birthday party for 2 little girls and they wanted everything hello kitty! So what I did was purchase a lot of small hello kitty items (purses, lip gloss, pencils, bubbles, etc.) and bought 2 medium sized hello kitty gift bags. I found some hello kitty ribbon at a discount store some time back and purchased it, just in case! Well the moment to use it came, when I decided to make them personalized gift tags instead of purchasing a card. I dug into my bag of tricks and what I created were 2 perfect little personalized gifts for the girls! I loved creating them, and they loved receiving them!

Tea Party for 14 young ladies!!

I love personalized parties, so when my niece turned 12, I wanted to give her something special, sort of a "out with the pre-teens and into the teens" party. What would be better than a tea party! As little girls, we loved to play tea party with our stuffed animals, and even as adults, we love to go back to our roots and get together as women and have tea! So I got her and a few of her friends ready for the new world of becoming a teenager! To attend, they were required to wear dresses and big summertime/tea hats. They were all so beautiful. To see young girls, not trying to immulate videos and street life, but rather immulating beautiful, classy young ladies, was a breath of fresh air! With jazz music playing in the background, the young ladies talked about school, friendships and life, all while enjoying each other's company over tea, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit tarts and mini petit fors. It was a great day for them all. And to end the day, they all left the party with their own personalized gift bags, which included a real tea set, multi flavored teas, chocolates and other surprises. I loved hosting it and to this day, the girls still talk about it.

Stepping into a new world!!

This is my first time blogging, and I was inspired by one of my high school friends, who happens to be in the same line of business as myself. I really never thought about blogging, even when I would read a lot of other posts, and have friends who do it all of the time.
